Bullshit detector

Is the problem simple (as in: can it be described easily, solved on paper easily, etc.), then the solution in code should be simple as well.
Be wary of overly complex solutions for simple problems. These often result in more complexity down the line, which will damage the overall product and productivity in the long run.
